In benefits administrator, Hiring

Description:
The Benefits Administrator position will be responsible to process, coordinate and assure compliance and adherence to each client’s plan specifications. The Benefits Administratormay be responsible for the oversight of the implementation process for new and renewing groups, as well as the oversight and development of documentation for all new and existing clients. The documentation may include but will not be limited to: Implementation Paperwork, Administrative Service Agreements (ASAs), HIPAA Business Associate Agreements (BAAs), Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs) and Summary of Material Modifications (SMMs). They will ensure all documentation is timely and an accurate representation of the benefits as adopted by the client. The Benefits Administrator will coordinate and facilitate implementation and renewal activities to assure goals are accomplished in accordance with priorities, time and resources, using standard project management organization, tools and processes.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree preferred. COBRA and/or Self-funded business experience is helpful.
  2. Minimum of two years of Benefits Representative experience with the ability to handle customer escalations with minimal assistance. Healthcare experience, experience with COBRA, implementations and/or project management a plus.
  3. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers. Excellent written/verbal communication skills, excellent customer service skills.
  4. Ability to assume responsibility and maintain confidentiality. Strong sense of accountability is required. Must be able to work collaboratively.
  5. Demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex systems, process and/or concepts and influence outcomes through clear and effective communication and collaboration.
  6. Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Good organizational and time management skills; good problem-solving skills and attention to detail a must
  7. Capacity to understand regulatory requirements and professionally participate in client meetings. Ability to present benefits in a group setting to plan members.
  8. Strong PC skills required, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  9. Proactive and responsive resolution of client issues in a quick, friendly and efficient manner.
  10. Other duties as needed. Every associate is given a job description upon hire outlining the qualifications, duties, and pay grade of the position. Pro-Flex reserves the right to change job descriptions as necessary.
